What these terms cover
These terms govern participation in the Turkish American Technology Summit (TATS), held on September 5, 2026 at Türkevi in New York. By using this site and submitting an application, you accept them.
The summit is hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in New York / Türkevi and supported by Genç MÜSİAD. Rules about the venue itself are set by the host institution and take precedence over these terms.
Basis of attendance and application
Attendance at the summit is by application and invitation. No tickets, products or services are sold through this site, and you are never asked for an attendance fee, registration charge or any other payment.
The only route in is to complete the application form and have your application approved. Without a confirmation message, you cannot enter the venue.
If an email, message or page asks you to pay anything on behalf of the summit, it did not come from the TATS organization. Please report it to [email protected] before acting on it.
Approval and capacity
Türkevi holds a fixed number of people, so places are limited and not every application can be approved.
Applications are reviewed on attendee profile, relevance to the summit's focus areas, room capacity, and keeping a balanced mix of people in the sessions. Whether an application is accepted rests with the organizers, who are under no obligation to give reasons.
We send the outcome to the email address on your form, so make sure it is correct and one you can reach — and check that the confirmation has not landed in your spam folder.
The opening and closing dates for applications, along with the approval timeline, will be announced on this site.
Your place is yours alone
An approval is valid only for the person who applied. It cannot be transferred, sold or passed on, so please do not forward your confirmation to anyone else.
If you would like a colleague to attend in your place, write to us before the event and we will consider it as far as capacity and security clearance allow. Substitutions are handled as a new application.
If you realize you cannot make it, tell us as early as you can — your place can go to someone on the waiting list.
Venue rules and security
Türkevi is a diplomatic mission building. Its own security procedures apply at the door, and those procedures are not under the organizers' control.
- You may be asked to show valid government-issued photo ID or a passport, and the name on it must match the name on your application.
- Entry is granted against the approved attendee list submitted in advance.
- Security screening, including bag checks and walk-through detectors, may be carried out.
- Items that the building's rules prohibit will not be allowed inside.
- Allow time for the queue and arrive before the start time shown in the programme.
Instructions from the host institution and its security staff must be followed. If entry is refused on security grounds, the organizers cannot be held responsible.
If you have an accessibility requirement — step-free access, hearing support, dietary needs — write to us before the event so we can look into it together with the host institution.
Programme changes, postponement and cancellation
The programme published on this site is a draft. Session titles, timings and speakers may change, and names on the speaker list remain subject to confirmation.
The organizers reserve the right to postpone the event, change its format or cancel it in cases of force majeure, on security grounds, following decisions by the authorities, or where the venue makes it unavoidable.
Should that happen, registered attendees are notified by email as soon as possible. Because no payment is ever collected for the summit, there is nothing to refund.
Please keep this possibility in mind before committing to non-refundable flights or hotel bookings.
Photography and filming
Photographs and video will be taken throughout the day — in the session rooms, on the exhibition floor and at the reception.
By attending, you accept that your image and voice may appear in that material, and that the footage may be used to promote and report on the summit, in social media posts and in post-event reporting.
If you would rather not appear, write to [email protected] before the event or tell the staff at the registration desk on the day, and we will accommodate you as far as is reasonably possible.
When filming or photographing yourself, respect the wishes of the people around you. Press accreditation and shooting with professional equipment require prior approval.
Code of conduct
TATS aims to be a respectful and inclusive space where everyone feels safe. We have zero tolerance for:
- Discriminatory remarks or behaviour based on gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, nationality, age or appearance
- Harassment, verbal or physical intimidation, and persistent unwanted attention
- Threats, insults, demeaning language and deliberate attempts to intimidate
- Photographing or recording people without their consent
- Deliberately disrupting sessions
- Persistent and unwelcome pitching, selling or recruiting
Where these rules are broken, the organizers may issue a warning, ask that the person be removed from the venue, and decline their participation in future events. No compensation can be claimed in such cases.

Intellectual property
The text, images, logos and design elements on this site, along with the summit's name and brand, belong to their respective rights holders. Apart from citation with attribution for news and information purposes, they may not be used without permission.
Content presented in the sessions remains the copyright of the speakers and their organizations. Recording a talk in full or republishing it requires the speaker's permission.
Rights in the projects and prototypes attendees bring to the exhibition floor stay with them; the organizers claim nothing over that material.
Limits of liability
We prepare the information on this site to be accurate on the day it is published, but the programme is still being built, so we cannot guarantee that everything stays current and correct.
The organizers are not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged at the venue, for commercial relationships formed between attendees, or for undertakings given by third parties.
Views expressed at the summit belong to the speakers themselves and cannot be read as the official position of the host institution, the supporting institution or the organizers.
External sites linked from here are the responsibility of whoever runs them.
Governing law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to the local legislation in force where the event is held and to the venue's own rules.
Disputes fall to the courts and enforcement offices of the place where the organization is based.
We may update these terms as preparations move forward. The current version always lives on this page, and the date at the top changes with it.
